Teen Service Corps

Every summer, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Albany and the NYS DEC offer an eight week paid community service program for Albany youth age 14 to 18. The collaborative program offers youth a chance to give back to the community, make a weekly cash stipend, receive work boots, and have fun working with other local youth at DEC project sites and parks in the Capitol Region. There are 2 four hour shifts daily, either 8-12 or 12-4. Transportation to the DEC work sites is offered by the club from the Delaware Avenue location. The program is open to all youth with working papers.

The 2009 program should kick off on or around July 6th and will run till the end of August. If you’re interested in joining the program, stop by or call the club at 518-462-5528. There is no formal application.
