Camp Thacher

Camp Thacher Opportunities, located on 1000 picturesque acres on Lawson Lake, is a six-week day camp that offers 400 children traditional experiences such as swimming, hiking, arts and crafts and team sports.  An integral theme of this camp is environmental awareness and appreciation, which is accomplished through special nature studies, hikes and exploration, fishing, boating, camp safety and fire craft.

What makes Camp Thacher Opportunities unique, however, is that families within the City of Albany do not have to pay for their child(ren) to attend.
