The Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany is partnering with the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany to bring the Capital District a day of Family Fun! Come on down to our 21 Delaware Ave location to enjoy a community event concentrating on health and wellness. Not only will there be various community organizations giving out valuable information and giveaways, there will also be door prizes, tours, and performances just for you!

The 2010 Annual Alumni Boys and Girls Clubs of Albany Golf Tournament has been announced for July 26th at Briar Creek in Princetown, NY. As one of the best golf courses in the Capital Region, Briar Creek will be a great place to enjoy a great day of golf. Following the event will be a casual dinner with other alumni and friends of the Club.

Congratulations to our Youth of the Year!
Sharonda Ginyard (left) and to runner-up Jighyatta Hoke (right) for outstanding commitment and service to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany. Sharonda will compete against 52 other candidates to be named 2010 New York State Youth of the Year, to be decided on May 25, 2010. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Community Impact Awards presentation to be held at the Albany Institute of History & Art on Wednesday, November 10, 2010.
The Community Impact Award is presented annually to individuals and organizations that through their commitment have made a significant and enduring impact on the youth of our community.
The Search Committee is seeking nominations through June 1, 2010 for consideration for this year’s award. To nominate someone, please fill out a Nomination Form and provide a brief statement explaining why the nominee merits the award. The winners will be notified and honored at the Red White & Chocolate Celebration on November 10th.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany has been chosen as The Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC) of Albany and CDPHP® Workforce Team Challenge ’s CHARITY OF CHOICE!!!
The CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge is a 3.5-mile road race open to teams of employees from corporations, businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, not-for-profit corporations, and financial institutions. Runners, joggers, and walkers are invited to compete and all participants receive a complementary T-shirt and light refreshments following the race.
When: Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 6:25pm
Where: Empire State Plaza in Albany.
